SteelHome (China) Steel Price Index (SHCNSI) was 88.53 points (3,829 yuan) on March 26, 2025, up 0.03 point (1 yuan) from the previous trading day

Construction steel: 20mm HRB400 rebar averaged at 3,300 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, up 4 yuan/t from previous trading day.

Medium plate: 20mm Q235 medium plate price averaged at 3,545 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, up 6 yuan/t from previous trading day.

HRC: 5.75mm Q235 HRC average price was 3,437 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, down 1 yuan/t from previous trading day.

CRC: Average price of 1.0mm SPCC CRC was 4,135 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, down 2 yuan/t from previous trading day.

Ex-works price of steel billet in Qian’an remained at 3,070-3,080 yuan/t on March 26. Spot resources were priced 3,140 yuan/t. Direct-shipped resources saw sparse transactions.

Downstream finished product sales remained subdued, and rolled mills were prudent about billet purchases. In the short term, billet market prices are expected to keep stable.
